By now, you’ve probably heard of Golden Skates, a brand of skateboards that debuted in 2010 and quickly grew into a global phenomenon.
The Golden Skater line of skates features a wide variety of wheels and wheelsets, but the one thing they all share is that they’re all made out of recycled plastic.
The line is now owned by Rival Brands, a US-based company that specializes in the recycling of plastic.
In fact, Rival recently received a $100 million funding round led by SoftBank, the world’s largest technology investor.
In an interview with CNBC, the company’s founder, Stephen Green, shared how he made the decision to go with plastic in his Golden Skating line.
“We started with the idea of getting rid of plastic skateboard wheels, so we got to the point where we had to go and buy some recycled plastic,” he said.
“We knew that, in order to get rid of it, we had got to start at the very beginning with recycled plastic and get it to a point where it’s going to be safe and reliable,” he continued.
The company then found that the process was a lot easier than it initially thought.
After a few months of trial and error, R&B was able to find the right materials to recycle and to make the best use of them.
Green told CNBC that he decided to invest in the process after seeing other companies that were using the same recycled plastic to make skateboards.
“[This process] was actually very easy,” he told CNBC.
“And in the end, I just got excited about it.
He said that R&B has been using recycled plastic in its production for years and that they’ve been able to get its price down by a factor of two.”
This process, of getting recycled plastic into skateboards, is going to reduce our environmental impact by a very large amount.
It also allows us to have an affordable skateboard that is going out to skate shops around the world,” Green added.
Golden Skates was founded in 2011, and has since made waves in the skate industry with its innovative design.
The company was also recently featured on the cover of Rolling Stone and in the November issue of GQ.
With the launch of its first skate line, Golden Skaters has continued to grow in popularity, as it’s now one of the top skate brands in the world.
So, what’s in a skateboard?
The most obvious thing you can look at a skate is the plastic wheels.
But that’s only half the story.
Another key part of a skateboarding machine is the skates themselves.
According to Green, plastic is one of R&B’s main sources of materials, and the company has found that recycled plastic skateboards are also a great way to make money.
Since its inception, R &Brands has taken advantage of the plastic recycling boom in order for the company to be able to manufacture new skateboards for people who have trouble finding plastic skate boards.
B has also been able with its own factories in Asia and Europe to create high-end skateboards with high quality components, which is one reason that the company is seeing a rise in popularity.
And now that Rival has secured a $200 million funding, Rambler Skates is set to hit stores in September, with Green telling CNBC that the skateboard is “going to be the first thing people buy.”
