Dubai, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, is an epic city with a diverse population, and in recent years, it has also become known for its golden skateboarding.
The city is home to a number of skaters, from a local skateboarding legend named Shaquille O’Neal to international stars such as the legendary French legend Sebastien Perrin, the latter of whom recently won the World Cup in the sport.
But while it has become synonymous with skateboarding in the United States, it is not just in Dubai that it has emerged.
Skateboarding is an international sport, with a strong presence in countries such as Italy, Russia, Brazil, India, Australia and South Africa.
But in the past few years, Dubai has seen a resurgence in the popularity of this sport, which is often celebrated in the city with giant posters of the iconic board in the streets, as well as a number in bars and clubs.
