In a news release, the city said the new owners of the pigeon skate and ice skating shop were forced to close the business after it received a threat against its life.
“The threat was made on the Internet, which was not immediately reported to police,” the statement read.
“When we investigated the matter further, we discovered that a person had called a number that was connected to a website that contained information about the business and other threats to our businesses.
We have notified the owners of this business, and we are working to identify and prosecute those responsible.”
The City of Los Angeles said it will continue to cooperate with local law enforcement, and the City Council is considering a resolution to reopen the business.
